eLearning Voiceover

ACCESSIBLE, ADAPTABLE, CLEAR ELEARNING FOR ANY INDUSTRY

A commonly needed type of voiceover genre is eLearning. Different than explainers, eLearning is often a longer form version of a teaching or instructional video. They can be used in any industry across a wide array of uses, including: on-boarding new employees, training courses, educational modules for online schooling at Universities, instructional videos on new products or services, and so much more.

The key element that makes an effective eLearning video is expertise. Which is where an adaptable, versatile male voice actor like yours truly can be invaluable.

Bringing years of experience, professionalism and an ability to speak from a conversational place of authority has enabled me to book hundreds of eLearning jobs. As a voice over and career coach, I know how to effectively connect with a course-taker while conveying the information in a fun, upbeat and positive way, for maximum learning effectiveness.

AN EXPERIENCED MALE VOICE ACTOR FOR EXPERT INSTRUCTION

The art of communication is something that can come naturally to some, but more often than not, needs to be refined and honed over years. Experience, ability to interpret words and convey intention and meaning are crucial for connecting with a listener. I’ve spent the better part of a decade working as a full-time voice actor and voiceover coach, helping to teach my students the art of voice acting in one-on-one and group situations. I know how to convey the key data from eLearning in an effective and unassuming way, so that it feels like it’s coming from a place of authority, but also from a place of enthusiasm and fun.

The best teachers are those who connect with the material they’re teaching, and this is something I’ve worked hard on my entire career, to create maximum effectiveness as an instructor.

Just For You

ELEARNING VOICEOVER THAT IS FUN, ENGAGING AND CONNECTS!

As a 10+ year industry vet, I’ve been a part of countless commercial campaigns, raising the bar time and time again on everything from national TV commercials, to global streaming ads, to radio spots, and so much more.

I take great pride in being a dynamic and versatile actor, easily jumping in and out of tones on command to offer many options that will help enhance visuals, connect with an audience and add a creative flair to any project to help bring it to life.

I also come from a background in commercial radio in sales, as a writer and project manager. I used to manage national radio campaigns for major clients like Apple, Lionsgate, ABC and more. I understand both sides of the coin and am easily able to adapt to you and your clients needs to accommodate.

WHAT IS ELEARNING?

There’s nothing worse than feeling like you have “found the voice” of your campaign, only to get into a session and realize they cannot replicate a voiceover read. I have heard this story time and time again from clients. They find a voice they think will work, but the talent is either just too new, or not a professional and doesn’t know how to recall reads on command. It’s incredibly frustrating!

That is never going to be an issue with an experienced voice actor, like yours truly. I’ve been doing this professionally for over ten years. A large percentage of my clients are repeats. I make a massive effort to not only be the best, but also the easiest talent you’ve ever worked with.

I consistently deliver the reads you’re looking for, can adapt on the fly and take great pride in make short work of directed sessions.

All of that comes from experience. Whether I’m working on a national TV campaign for a Fortune 500 company, or a local radio campaign for a local business, my effort will always be the same: 100%. Everyone’s campaign is important and my only goal is to ensure you, your clients and every single stakeholder in the project is thrilled with the final result.

My client list ranges from food and beverage brands, to healthcare, household items, lifestyle products, financial services, automotive brands, higher education, entertainment clients and so many more.

WHAT MAKES ELEARNING EFFECTIVE?

We’re in an age of marketing that tends to lean towards voiceover reads that are more casual, relaxed, relatable and naturalistic. Unless it’s a parody or specific types of products, the majority of voice acting for commercials sit in the world of conversational. It also happens to be a type of read that I excel at and am booked for regularly.

Audiences don’t want to be spoken down to. They want to hear from a trusted friend. Someone that they may want to have a drink with, or sounds like they’re a kind, friendly expert. This is the ideal zone for many brands and products because it allows a marketer to deliver their message in an unassuming way. This lets a potential customer make their own decision rather than feeling put upon or forced to purchase a product. It’s more about the awareness and casual expertise that people want to buy nowadays.

The vast majority of consumers will take a word of mouth recommendation from a trusted friend over any sort of advertising. Because of that, it is critical for modern marketers to find a voice that is relatable. That sounds like someone the consumer COULD know in real life. That relatability and authenticity, paired with the ability to deliver a marketing message is what makes a voice actor so valuable, and it is what I have spent years perfecting to the tune of hundreds of major advertising campaigns. I would love to be a part of yours next!

A MILLENNIAL FRIENDLY EXPERT TO TEACH ACROSS MANY INDUSTRIES

The traditional big, booming, announcer voice is not gone by any means, but it certainly isn’t the main voice you hear in audio or visual marketing these days. Why? Because it’s been heard a million times before. It’s not new. It’s not fresh. Does it work for some brands and products? Yes, absolutely, but not for the vast majority. This is because it’s just not how people talk to each other these days. When was the last time you had a conversation with a friend who was shouting in your face about “25% off only, through Thursday only”. It’s just not a typical conversation we as consumers have.

That’s why a unique, fresh, modern, upbeat voice is preferable. Someone who can put a potential customer at ease, makes them instantly trust you. Someone who’s voice is friendly, calming, soothing, engaging and versatile, but stands out as a voice you will remember.

I’ve spent years refining my voice, reads and tones to be able to quickly offer different textures, inflections, tonalities and deliveries so that your brand stands out and is memorable, and memorable in a good way.

CLEAR ARTICULATION AND PRONUNCIATION

No artificial intelligence here. You will never get a read from me that sounds robotic, stiff, or anything remotely resembling A.I. Why? It just doesn’t connect. Our ears are remarkably adapted to picking up on the subtleties of human language. As good as A.I. is, we just know it when we hear it. A human voice is able to put nuance, uniqueness or quirk into a voiceover delivery that a computer just cannot replicate.

Real brands want real people to buy their products. The best way to do that is using a real, human, voice.

There is a warmth and emotional connection that comes from one human speaking to another. It’s the optimal medium for conveying information because, quite simply, it’s what we’ve evolved to listen to as humans. Humans like real human voices. Who would’ve thought!

AN EXPERIENCED EDUCATOR AND ELEARNING VOICE ACTOR

Versatility and adaptability are crucial attributes to offer as a voice actor. No single brand or service is the same. The uniqueness of both product and marketing strategy are the critical elements that set you a part. Your voice actor should do the same.

An authoritative read may be preferable for a financial service commercial, while a youthful, laid back, conversational male voice may be best for an outdoor or travel spot. Maybe you need a charismatic, cheeky voice over for a male-centric audience like a motorcycle brand, cologne or fishing commercial. Or you could be on the hunt for a believable, heartfelt, empathetic delivery for a healthcare ad or new cancer medication. There are so many styles and reads possible, and as your potential voice artist, I take a great deal of pride in being able to provide authentic, strong and perfectly suited reads, every time.

Sometimes marketing strategies go against the norms on purpose, and a voice talent should be able to do that as well!

PREMIUM AUDIO, WITHOUT FAIL

Quality audio recordings are a must-have these days. The fastest way to turn an audience away from your brand is with poor quality, low-fidelity voiceover recordings.

With recording technology continually becoming more and more accessible, the quality and standards are being raised ever higher. You need a voice talent like me that understands this and can provide you with top-of-the-line, world-class recordings every time.

When you work with me, you’re not just hiring a voice actor. You’re hiring an audio engineer who has spent over a decade producing, editing, mixing and perfecting commercials across a wide spectrum of clients. I’ve spent thousands of hours on ear-training, have premium equipment and record in a commercial-grade recording studio.

I challenge you to find any studio or voice actor in the world who can consistently and quickly provide you the level of service and quality recordings I can. There’s a reason companies like Disney, Apple, Amazon, Winnebago, De’Longhi and so many more come back over and over again. They know that to maximize their marketing investment, they need the best quality, and that is exactly what they and you get when working with me.

CLEAR AND ARTICULATE MESSAGING

Articulation and clear intention in a voiceover delivery is key to the success of a campaign.

While a voice is often used to support visuals on screen, what about when it’s audio only? Conveying intent of a message through inflection, tone, brightness, pitch, modulation and more are all necessary to make sure your message is understood by an audience.

Articulation is the ability for a voice actor to clearly pronounce words, so that an audience or consumer has no trouble understanding them. It’s a skill that gets perfected with practice over years. With the amount of hoops you have to jump through getting your copy approved, of course you would want a listener or viewer to be sure of what they heard! Clean, clear, punch articulation is what you will get when working with me, and I guarantee that there will be perfect understanding of your copy, every time.

AN EXPERT VOICE ACTOR IN TELEVISION & RADIO

Some voice actors excel as audiobook narrators. Some as anime dubbing actors. For me, I excel as a commercial voice actor for television commercials and radio advertising.

Over the years, I’ve found that my greatest strength is in delivering unassuming, natural, friendly, believable reads, that are just perfect for a wide gamut of products.

As a millennial male voice actor, my voice is the voice of the primary consumer in this modern era. I excel at crafting voiceover reads that lay in a mix smoothly and easily, so that I am always talking TO and not AT an audience. I understand the difference between reading copy, and delivering a sincere message.

I connect with the copy and have a strong grasp on the writer’s intent because I myself am a commercial copywriter. I know the goals of creating marketing pieces and thus understand how to use my instrument, my voice, to effectively pinpoint and deliver on that intent and goal.

WARM, WELCOMING, ENGAGING READS

Warm, welcoming and engaging reads are the backbone of many marketing strategies. Audiences want to feel invited to try a product or service, not told to do so. The key element to making that sell is a voice that embodies the warmth, inviting and engaged vibe you’re aiming for.

As a potential voice actor on your project, this is something I have been hired for time and time again. There is a brightness to a smile, and a warmth that comes from the tone of my voice that I work very hard to make easy for audiences to pick up on. I believe this largely comes from me being such an authentically happy person! I have a zeal for life, and am so grateful to be able to work as a voice actor full-time and professionally, that I can’t help but have that come through in my reads!

THE VOICE OF TRUST AND CONFIDENCE

While warmth and welcoming are so important in many types of voiceover for marketing, having a voice of confidence and trust can be just as important.

While most marketing does tend towards happy or bright, there are times when more serious things are being discussed. Finance, healthcare, life insurance, political ads, and so many more will want a more authoritative, confident and sometimes powerful voice to be the focal point. This is because that strength and conviction are key ingredients in making an audience understand that your brand is the expert in this particular field. That your company, product, or service is the trusted voice of authority to make sure they, the consumer, are taken care of.

While I am no Morgan Freeman, I do take pride in providing a more millennial,  youthful voice of authority as a mature, yet not “old” sounding voice of reason. Like your older brother, looking out for your best interests at every turn.

BRAND COMMERCIALS

Branding and being a brand voice can be a make-0r-break for a campaign. Often, a company will seek out a talented voice actor who can be their “brand voice” that will personify their brand across all advertising mediums. For example, the Geico Gecko being Jake Wood, Brian Cox for McDonald’s and so on. These “brand voices” help an audience know instantly which company is talking to them, and helps to establish trust and a unique identity that sets them apart from others.

I would love a chance to be the voice for your brand, across all mediums of advertising, and with my versatility and flexibility as an actor, I know I can help create an incredible campaign that will help sell your brand and endear you to consumers.

HEALTHCARE AND WELLNESS ADS

Healthcare and wellness advertising is one of the biggest categories, and is growing rapidly. As our population deals with increasing health risks and threats like COVID-19, an aging demographic, new medical advances like Ozempic, and the mental health crises, it will only become more and more important for caregivers, hospitals and clinics to reach audiences where they are, with services they need.

The voice you choose will have a huge impact on how a listener or viewer perceives you, and their ultimate decision to make your their provider, pharmaceutical, hospital or clinic of choice. Allow me to help make that choice easy for your potential customers, with voice acting and voiceover that is deeply empathetic, connected, dynamic and confident. I would love to be your medical voice of expertise.

COMMERCIAL CHARACTERS THAT CONNECT

Sometimes a commercial needs character work. Could be an actor in the role of an employee, an on-screen character’s inner monologue, or even a non-human object or character like a dog, cat or even cloud! Marketing comes in all shapes and sizes, forms and functions and when a commercial or radio advertisement calls for characters, I want to be your go to.

Outside of straight narrator commercial reads, a large portion of my work as a voice actor is in the animation and interactive space. I have a wealth of authentic characters and accents at my disposal and I would love to add a creative stamp on your ad with genuine character work that elevates your brand’s originality, comedy and appeal.

TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION ADS

Technology is moving forward at an ever-increasing pace. Seems like every week there’s some new major breakthrough, a new A.I., a new computer, a new piece of tech that will help make our lives easier, more connected or more efficient.

The voice that helps break through that noise, is that of a trusted, friendly expert. Someone who sounds young enough that they could be the inventor, or a first user, but also mature enough that they understand the tech and can explain it with ease.

That nuanced performance is something clients turn to me for time and time again, as a youthful middle-millennial sounding voice with both the confidence to appear as an authority on a product, and the warmth and friendliness to welcome new users into using it.
